Ggh Coco

Ggh Coco is a variegated novelty yarn. I first spotted this yarn in the Holiday 2005 issue of Vogue Knitting in an a-line skirt pattern called bell curves.

The yarn is 62% wool, 32% nylon, 5% polyacrilic, and 1% polyester. The care requires hand washing and drying flat. A 4 inch guage swatch using 8 US (5mm) sized needles should produce 14 stitches across the row. It comes in 50 gram balls and is 95 meters long.

Ghg Coco is considered a heavy worsted weight yarn. It costs approximately $12.50 a ball.

I just love the variegation and color ways of this yarn. It has thick and thin sections. It also has a bit of metallic type strands in it with a great blend of colors that really makes this yarn pop.

The skirt pattern I saw it used in calls for 10 balls so at over $130 this is a bit steep for me. However, I bought 2 balls and I am waiting for the perfect project to use it in. It would look great for trim on a sweater. Or I could make a funky looking shrug. The possiblities with this yarn are endless.
