Knit Picks Andean Silk

Andean Silk is a worsted weight yarn made of 55% Super Fine Alpaca, 23% Silk, 22% Merino Wool. It is made in Peru and comes in balls that are 50 grams and 96 yards long.

The recommended Gauge: 4.5-5 sts=1" on #7-8 needles. It retails for $3.29 a ball.

Andean Silk comes in 20 solid colors. There is also a multi-color version, available in 6 different color combinations, called Andean Silk Twist. This yarn is made to go with the solid color Andean Silk.

The silk in the yarn gives it a wonderful sheen. I like the soft feel of this yarn and how it drapes.
