This is a quirky, humorous book of knitting advise and patterns. The conversational style of this book makes you feel like you are sitting in the kitchen with these creative knitters drinking a cup of coffee while knitting and chatting a way.
And the patterns, now there are some great ones! The book starts out with some colorful, complicated looking dishcloths that are made from a simple pattern. Oh and a cute baby kimono that Evie would look so cute in.
There is a gorgeous little nightie and robe set in lovely shades of purple. And some felted boxes to store all your knitting projects, books and dvds.
Included in the book is a chapter on log cabin knitting that includes several blankes and bath rugs. Practical and useful knitting is always appealing to me.
Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne are the rock stars of the knitting community--fans flock to their popular blog (masondixonknitting.com) for a daily dose of knitting genius, tips, and humor. In their first book, Mason-Dixon Knitting, you'll find practical advice, instruction, and more than 30 incredible patterns. Want a taste?
